The first winner of "The Voice Kids" in the Philippines was proclaimed on Sunday.

Lyca Garanoid, from team Sarah gained the most number of public votes.

A day before the announcement of winners, Lyca performed amazed the crowd with her performance of Carly Rae Jepsen hit "Call me Maybe" and a Regine Velasquez classic Song.

She also sang the iconic song "Basang Basa sa Ulan" together with the OPM band Aegis during the final live show of the competition on Sunday.


Before the competition, Lyca used to help her mother scavenge junks to earn extra money to help her family. Along with her father's earning as a fisherman, she was able to go to school.

After announcing that she was the first ever grand finals winner of "The Voice Kids Philippines", she burst out to tears. Her parents rushed to congratulate her.

She won 1 million pesos cash prize, recording contract with MCA Universal, a house and lot from Camella Homes and a lot more prizes.

Her teammate Darren Espanto took the 2nd place while, Juan Karlos from Team Bamboo was the 3rd place and Darlene Vibares from Team Lea Finished in the 4th place.
