Tips of a smoking woman who was diagnosed with cancer 11 times

Smokers are aware of the outcomes that may happen if they don't quit smoking. Warnings are being given out everywhere. Smoking is one of the major causes of mortality. Every 6.5 seconds a person passes away from smoking related diseases.

A former smoker named Terrie Hall gives out tips to the current smokers of this generation. Terrie was diagnosed with cancer 11 times.

She said that she already knew how to smoke at the young age of 13 years old. Since her father was a smoker and a lot of her friends were smoking as well she was influenced to do it as well. She just feels that it was the right thing to do at that time.

At the age of 40 years old, she was diagnose with oral cancer. She had a sore in her mouth and had to undergo radiation treatments. She didn't quit smoking but then she was diagnosed with throat cancer and had a laryngectomy. The doctors removed her voice box and she could not speak again.

She is one of the people who pushes for the campaign to stop people from smoking. She is feature in the advertisements that was created by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Although Terrie survive 10 cancer diagnosis the 11th time was already terminal. She passed away on September 15, 2013 at the age of 53. Two days before her death she was filmed by CDC and the footage was used for the smoking advertisements.
