The third crown for the Philippines in the prestigious pageant of Miss Universe was bagged home by Pia Wurtzbach in the live coronation night that took place in Las Vegas.
After 43 years, Pia Wurtzbach once again proved to the world that the Filipina can dominated the Miss Universe pageant.
From the Top 15, one by one the candidates were eliminated down to Top 10, then Top 5 and Top 3.
Pia was a part of it all she proudly stood in front of the judges including Emmitt Smith, Oliva Culpo, Niecy Nash and Perez Hilton.
During the Q&A portion of the competition, Miss Philippines was asked of the US should have a military base here in the Philippines. Pia answered, "I think that the US and the PH have a good relationship with each other. We've been colonized by the Americans and we have their culture. Philippines is very welcoming with the Americans and I don't see any problem with that at all."
When it came to moment that everyone has been waiting for the host Steve Harvey made a mistake in announcing that Colombia was the winner. But he apologized and said that it was supposed to be Pia Wurtzbach.
Congratulations to the Miss World 2015, Pia Wurtzbach. You've made the Filipinos proud!
