Have you ever thought of buying a coffin for your own body and ordering flowers and candles for your own wake? Could you even predict when your life will be taken away? Or could you believe that sadness could really kill people? Watch this to find answers.
In this short film entitled "Gamu-gamo sa Takipsilim (Moth in Twilight)" shows a 90-year-old lady who feels so lonely that she even bought herself a coffin and placed it in their old house together with the lights, candles and flowers.
The representative of the company where she kept on buying flowers, even suggested to cancel all her orders, including the coffin because she seems to be strong enough to live for years, but the old lady still insisted on buying the coffin and flowers.
The next day, she cooked pansit for herself and arranged the table. She placed two plates, in the round table and starts talking. That's when I realized that the old lady was talking along. She wasn't even talking to anyone because she's the only one living in the old house.
She then started reminiscing their last moments together, the way her husband sang their favorite song despite the fact that he's almost dying.
She then started dancing slowly as she was hearing her husband's voice in her head. When she stopped, she asked herself why all their 12 children left her and migrated to Canada without even leaving a single grandchild to her. She was so lonely that she was able to predict her own death. As her emotion starts to flow, she slowly lies inside the coffin and slowly closed it.
