A 7-year old boy with brain tumor saved his mother's life by donating his kidney

Nothing can make a mother's life happier and more wonderful than to see her child grew up with her. But what would happen if some sort of a tragedy came up and they had no choice but to give up?

Zhou Lu and her son Chen Xiaotian is living a very happy life as a family but unfortunately a tragedy came up so early. At the age of 5-years old, Chen Xiaotian was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Although it was diagnosed as early as possible, the tumor continued to grow and the doctors already told them that Chen Xiaotian won't be able to reach adulthood. Few months had passed and later on, Chen Xiaotian's mother Zhou Lu found out that she has a kidney disease.

As time passed by, Chen's condition was getting worse. His tumor already pressed against his optic nerve and lost the ability to see he also became bedridden. However, Zhou Lu was doing better with her kidney disease. The doctors told her that she will survive by having a new kidney and the doctors thought that Chen would be a match and immediately talked to Zhou Lu to discuss her options. When Zhou heard the doctor's options she immediately refused. What they don't know is that Chen overheard their conversation and made up a tough decision.

Chen talked to his mother and demanded her to let him save her life. And finally, the mother agreed and thought that if her son was to die her only consolation was that part of him would live in her.

The doctors found out that Chen was a perfect match for his mother but eventually, he passed away on April 2, 2014.  It is said the doctors bowed to him before moving on with the organ transplant to show their respect for such a brave young boy.

Chen Xiaotian's kidneys were donated for his mother's transplant and his other kidney was given to a 21 year old girl while his liver was given to a 27-year old man.

Chen Xiaotian was admired by the doctors with the decision he made up. He was willing to give up his own life just to save his mother's precious life. This is the true meaning of unconditional love between a mother and son.
