Pope Francis' childohood sweetheart admitted that the pontiff proposed a marriage for her when they were still younger.
The 77 year old woman named, Amalia Damonte still had a fresh memory of a young boy named Jorge Borgoglio.
Amalia said that Jorge who is now the highest and most admired leader of the Catholic church gave him a love letter indicating a wedding proposal.
Inside a letter was a confession of a 12 year old boy who was madly in-love with Amalia Damonte who was 11 years old at that time. The letter also says that If they were going to get married he would buy her a white house so they could live together. But if not the boy would have to become a priest.
But Amalia had to reject his proposal because her parents think that he was not as manly as they think.
She continued refreshing their memories together and how they used to play together in the neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
