Another glorious victory for the pride of Filipinos as Jamie Herell was hailed as the Miss Earth 2014. She out-shined all other 84 contestants representing their nations.

This beautiful and intelligent Filipina is a 19 year old acting student for International Academy for Film and Television at University of San Jose Recoletos in Cebu City.
The question that was given to her on the Question and Answer portion asked by the former Akbayan lawmaker Risa Hontiveros was, "Do you think that we, human beings, have been good children to Mother Earth?".
Herell aswered will her full confidence, "Honestly, in my opinion, we haven’t been good children. In fact, I believe that we are the number one cause of her problems, we are the reason why we're having climate change, and we are the reason why we're having floods. But in return, if w e can only help her and salvage her, she will help us back and take care of us too."
The coronation night happened on November 29, 2014 at the UP theater in the Philippines.
