Hit-and-run accidents in the Philippines are prevalent. Most victims suffer and die with the suspects freely using their licenses and vehicles going unpunished. Most of these crimes are not even known to the country since the victims have no information on the drivers involved. A Facebook user uploaded these photos to the said social media network and has caught the attention of many netizens. Good thing is: they were able to get the plate number of the vehicle involved.
The young boy, only known to us by the name ‘ely’, has suffered a cracked skull after the ordeal. Scratches and bruises on the child’s face is also very visible. According to the family, the vehicle that hit the boy was a Mitsubishi Montero, an obviously large car. Thankfully enough, Ely survived the hit. Family and friends of the boy are still looking for the suspect, but they got the driver’s plate number which is POG 769. Apparently, the driver was even a woman.
The family went to the Land Transportation Office but was asked to come back on Monday.
