PINOY BEING ABUSED IN RIYADH

RIYADH –"Mario", not his real name, was found naked on the early morning of May 16 in the desert after he was abused, beaten up and left for dead. He is now in a Riyadh hospital and in critical condition.

According to his friend Junji Robles, who is his "kababayan" in Bukidnon, he urgently identified his friend on Facebook when someone posted Mario's pic.

Mario just renewed his contract and was recently returned from the Philippines to Saudi Arabia to work as a service crew of an ice cream chain inside a mall. Cecilia Jamila who is another friend of Mario said the last time she saw him was last May 12 on Batha. Although Mario was still having difficulties in speaking as he sustained serious multiple injuries, he was able to scribble down words that would identify his attackers.

First word was 'Saudi' then 'officer' and 'police', according to his friend Jamila. Also Mario wrote down that he was arrested in Batha and was travelled to Malaz. When asked, how many men did that crime to him, he said, 'FOUR' This Pinoy worker also suffered several bone fractures and is under observation for possible internal hemorrhage.

The Philippine embassy already visited Mario and has been in contact with his employer.
