PNP caught Chinese Fishermen poaching sea turtles

On Friday, The Philippine National Police released the photos of sea turtles that was found on a Chinese fishermen's boat.

More than 500 sea turtles were found on board. But only 177 of the turtles were alive the rest did not survive. The remaining alive sea turtles were freed by the officials of BFAR (Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources) and DENR (Department of Environment and National Resources).

Based on the Sections 85 and 87 of the Republic Act No. 8550, or the Philippine Fisheries Code of 1998, the fishermen were facing the charges of poaching and taking endangered species.

The Chinese fishermen who were arrested were the following:
-Yi Quan Chen
-Ze Hap Chen
-Sheng Bao He
-Liang Duong Shi
-Chuan Fang Lu
-Xian Xiong SHi
-Xiang Hui Li
-Yuan Cheng He
-Ji Xuan Huang
-Chun He
-Zhuang He
